Quote of the Day:
"You only fail if you stop writing."
-Ray Bradbury
I am a typical girl; I have dreams and desires, likes, dislikes, hobbies and interests. I have, as a country song puts it, "days where I curse the rain, then complain when the sun's too hot". I have days where it feels like the world is finally in sync. I strive, I achieve, I fail, and I try to follow God (which generally leads to more striving, achieving and failing. But I digress). But aside from being a Christian woman, I am a writer.
The written word is my blank canvas, and the vocabulary of the English language my brush and ink. I seek what can only be described as penned perfection, honing my skills and abilities for writing as any artist, athlete or craftsman would do. And I take pride in what I do.
I have never been one to understand the purpose of a blog, though as I have begun to let myself give over to the idea of starting one, I can see only possibilities. Every craftsman has a working area, and for my purposes a blog is a fine start to a workshop (perhaps wordshop would be more appropriate).
I have multiple stories that I feel need to be told. I have the drive to get it all upon paper and have a finished product. I, like everyone, have things that get in my way of this. That is what I am hoping this blog helps me overcome; no longer shall I fall victim like the many who start but do not continue and finish. No longer shall I be beset by unorganized thoughts or ideas that cannot be followed through.
This, my friends, is my journey.
From idea, to paper, to product, may I take with me those that are willing to go with me. Penned perfection is, might I say, within our reach.
